According to the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), the total turnover achieved by local insurers in 2022 stands at 54.5 billion MAD (5.1 billion USD), an increase of 8.6% over the previous year.
With written premiums of 10.4 billion MAD (980.5 million USD), Wafa Assurance has maintained its market-leading position, accounting for 19.1% of the market.
With a turnover of 8.076 billion MAD (761.4 million USD), Royale Marocaine d’Assurance (RMA) earned second place. In 2022, the company accounted for 14.8% of all premiums written in Morocco.
Mutuelle Taamine Chaabi is third and last on the podium, with 7.3 billion MAD (688.2 million USD) in premium revenues.
