A deal has been reached for the acquisition of Western United Financial Services (WUFS), a specialist (re)insurance broker in Western Australi by BMS Group.
As part of its strategy to expand its clientele in the area, BMS will fully purchase WUFS, adding to a number of other recent acquisitions in Australia.
WUFS provides specialized risk management, claims administration, and insurance brokerage services. The business also provides risk management advice and insurance product recommendations.
Brett Waterman, the CEO of WUFS, will continue in his position following the acquisition and will be in charge of the BMS operation in Western Australia.
The acquisition of Western United Financial Services represents another step in the growth of BMS in Australia, according to Andrew Godden, chief executive of BMS Australia: “It not only gives us access to more specialties like hospitality and transportation, but it also gives us more depth in some of them.”
