Debbie Durkan is appointed commercial director of Intangic MGA.

Intangic MGA, a newly established cyber underwriter, has appointed Debbie Durkan as Commercial Director to promote growth and distribution. A role that will be based in London.

Durkan has over 25 years of expertise in the field; most recently, she worked at Marsh as the Chief Client Officer for the UK Commercial group. She has also served as Bowring Marsh’s global head of business development.

Durkan has reportedly been working on the company’s growth and distribution strategy since it was launched in March. Her primary goal has been to forge connections with the MGA’s target clientele, which includes large PLCs, brokers, and captive managers.

Durkan said in a statement about the new position, “I am thrilled with the response from major broker and client partners since Intangic MGA began 4 weeks ago. We frequently mention the need for innovation in the market, and it is obvious from our conversations with clients that they are embracing novel approaches to managing cyber risk. It is wonderful to work for a company that promotes innovation from the standpoint of a client.

“Big organizations right now need Intangic’s alternative approach to technology risk,” she concluded. What drew me to this position was the confluence of data science and risk management, as well as the organization’s strong support and understanding of cyber risk.

The growth Intangic MGA has experienced since its introduction has surpassed our expectations, according to Ryan Dodd, the company’s founder and chief executive officer. I am happy to have someone of Debbie’s level leading our growth plan as we move into high gear. Debbie has been a tremendous benefit to Intangic MGA, bringing knowledge and experience from dealing with the same companies the product is built for. I am looking forward to working with Debbie as we continue on our growth trajectory, including plans to launch in the US soon. He added”
