Swiss Re Corporate Solutions appoints Adrian Hall
Adrian Hall has been designated Head of UK, Ireland, South Africa, and EMEA Wholesale by Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the reinsurer’s commercial insurance division. He will take on his new role succeeding Melanie Slack, who is leaving Swiss Re Corporate Solutions for retirement.
As of 1 September 2023, He will relocate from Toronto to London, reporting to Nina Arquint, CEO of EMEA at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Adrian has nearly 30 years of international insurance industry experience and he started his career in London, UK. He has worked in various senior leadership roles in the Middle East, Latin America, and Canada.
Adrian joined Swiss ReCS in 2017 as Head of Canada, providing leadership across all facets of the Canadian business, including Chief Agent for the Canadian entity, product development, underwriting, operations, claims, customer & distribution management, and marketing.
Melanie Slack joined Swiss Re in 2001 as the Life & Health Technical Chief Underwriter for Europe, Asia, and Latin America. After holding a variety of senior management roles within Swiss Re Group, she was appointed Head UK, Ireland, and South Africa at Swiss ReCS in 2021. Following a handover period, she is planning to leave the company for retirement.
I am thrilled to be appointed as the new Head of UK, Ireland, South Africa and EMEA wholesale, effective September 1st and I look forward to joining Nina Arquint and the EMEA team. I will certainly miss Canada and the fantastic colleagues, brokers and customers across North America. I want to thank Katie McGrath and Ivan Gonzalez (孔奕丰) for their support and leadership since I joined Swiss ReCS 6 years ago. I will continue to lead Canada over the coming months and I look forward to connecting with our brokers and customers in the market before I relocate to the UK. Adrian commented.

Adrian’s team will continue to enhance Swiss ReCS’ services to brokers and clients, including a focus on the differentiating capabilities within the international programs business and innovative risk transfer space. In addition, his special attention will be on the continued roll-out of Risk Data and Services, a strategic initiative launched last year to help clients take back control of their risks. Adrian Hall will lead the sub-regional teams based in London, Dublin, and Johannesburg.
