Besso Re, a reinsurance broker, has announced the appointment of Shreyaa Vohra to the position of Managing Director of Besso Re Middle East. She will be in charge of expanding the company’s faculty portfolio in her new position, which is situated in Dubai, primarily in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region.
Prior to working at Besso, Vohra was a Senior Executive Officer with EC3 Brokers at the Dubai International Financial Centre for more than a year.
Shreyaa spent eight years placing International Property & Power business into the Lloyd’s Market at Guy Carpenter London. Having specialized in the Asia Pacific, LATAM & EMEA regions during her time there, she moved to Dubai to work with Sukoon Insurance where she spent 2 and a half years heading up the Facultative Outward division across all lines of business.
Local Cedant experience provided Shreyaa with excellent exposure into the MEA region and she joined an International Broker in the DIFC as their Senior Executive Officer, building a team and portfolio of businesses.
