The Reinsurance Association of America has appointed Jon Colello as secretary-treasurer, Jim Williamson as vice chair, and Justin O’Keefe as chair of the board during its 55th Annual Meeting on April 21, 2023.
O’Keefe works with RenaissanceRe as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for North America and Bermuda. In these areas, he oversees market engagement and transaction execution for all business lines. Since joining RenaissanceRe in 2004, Justin has held a variety of senior underwriting positions.
O’Keefe is a member of the Top Layer Reinsurance Ltd., DaVinci Reinsurance Ltd., and Vermeer Reinsurance Ltd. boards of directors.
At Everest Re Group, Williamson serves as Executive VP, Group COO, and Head of Reinsurance Division. He directs the Company’s reinsurance segment and is responsible for the Group’s underwriting excellence, digital transformation, innovation, efficiency, and data analytics capabilities.
Prior to working for Everest, Williamson held a number of senior executive positions at Chubb, including Division President of North America Small Business. He held prominent positions at The Hartford before joining Chubb.
As a member of PartnerRe’s Executive Leadership Team, Colello serves as the CEO of P&C Americas. He is in charge of managing the Health business in the US as well as the Property & Casualty business in the US, Canada, and Latin America.
He has been a member of the Reinsurance Leadership Team and formerly held the position of President North America at AXIS Re. He has 21 years of reinsurance expertise. He also oversaw the underwriting platforms in Bermuda, Canada, and the US. Since joining the company in 2004, Jon has held several leadership positions at AXIS Re, the organization said.
