Dr. Jessica Turner has been appointed as the new Head of Risk Analytics by MS Amlin, the worldwide reinsurer for Lloyd’s, and will start in her new role on June 26, 2023. She will report to Martin Burke, the Director of Underwriting Performance.
Burke made the following statement about the appointment: We must look for fresh perspectives and knowledge as we attempt to manage the complicated problems of our constantly changing world. We can offer our clients more cutting-edge insights and solutions by enlarging our talent pool to include individuals with cutting-edge expertise in analytics, modeling, and catastrophe risk. I am thus pleased to welcome Jessica to our company.
Having served Guy Carpenter as Managing Director and Head of International Catastrophe Consultancy for more than four years. Dr. Turner joins MS Amlin.
In her previous position, she was in charge of overseeing a group of experts in natural disasters that provided model advisory, evaluation, and adjustment analytics as well as physical risk quantification for climate change for all major dangers in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific areas.
Prior to that, Dr. Turner worked as a Senior Manager for more than two years at Lloyds Banking Group. She also held positions at RMS and Willis Re early in her career.
Dr. Turner is a Certified Disaster Risk Analyst and holds a PhD in atmospheric science. she also has an advanced diploma in insurance.
