Tom Johansmeyer is set to join Inver Re, the reinsurance broking arm of the Ardonagh Group, as its new Global Head of Index products.
In the month of June, he will move to Bermuda to begin his new position as Global Head of Index at reinsurance broker Inver Re, and will report to Kevin Stratton, CEO of Bermuda Specialty & P&C at Inver Re.
Tom formerly worked for Verisk, where he joined in 2012 as Director of Marketing for Verisk Insurance Solutions – Claims and Crime Analytics. In 2015, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Reinsurance Services and Marketing.
In his capacity as Head of PCS since 2016, Tom has increased the geographic scope of the PCS product offering and widened its capabilities to include specialty lines of re/insurance. Having served the company for 11 years, Tom Johansmeyer, the head of Verisk’s Property Claim Services (PCS) division, is leaving for Inver Re.
In reality, the scope of the PCS industry index has expanded to embrace too many various geographic areas, including Turkey, Latin America, Mexico, Japan, and the Asia-Pacific. Additionally, new business lines have been added, such as cyber, aviation, energy, maritime, and terrorism.
In his time with the company, Tom has been heavily involved in the catastrophe bond, industry-loss warranty (ILW), and larger insurance-linked securities (ILS) markets. PCS is home to the most widely used range of industry-loss index solutions.
