Guy Carpenter appoints Five(5) senior executives for Europe.

Guy Carpenter, a Marsh McLennan subsidiary and global risk and reinsurance specialist, has announced the appointment of Anders Nises as CEO of the Nordics area. Nises will be headquartered in Stockholm and will report to Dorothe Mlis-Moutafis, Europe’s interim CEO. The shift of roles will take effect in the second part of this year.

Nises will be in charge of Guy Carpenter’s brokerage activities in the region, as well as driving the firm’s creative approach to providing sophisticated risk transfer solutions to clients. He will also collaborate with Marsh McLennan’s other subsidiaries, Marsh, Oliver Wyman, and Mercer, to improve customer outcomes.

Nises presently serves as General Manager of Hannover Res’ P&C division in Stockholm. In the Nordic countries, he is in charge of treaty and facultative reinsurance. Prior to joining Hannover Re, Nises held several prominent positions at the Swedish insurance firm Lnsfrskringar, including Group Manager, Reinsurance.

Also, Guy Carpenter announced Lisa Ljunggren’s appointment as Head of Analytics, Nordics, beginning June 2023. She will be based in Stockholm and report to Eddy Vanbeneden, the Head of Analytics, in Europe.

Ljunggren will be in charge of delivering Guy Carpenters’ cutting-edge analytical and consultancy capabilities to clients in the Nordic region. Before joining SiriusPoint in 2016, she had various top analysis and underwriting positions at businesses including RMS, Willis Re, Nephila, and Tokio Marine.

Enver Karapinar has been named Head of Europe Opportunity while Riccardo Roveta has been named Head of Europe Opportunity at the London office, both of which are effective immediately. They will be stationed in their current location in Hamburg and London and will report to Mlis-Moutafis and Toby Wemyss, Global Heads of Facultative respectively.

Karapinar joined Guy Carpenter in 2019 after serving as Head of Facultative for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Karapinar will be responsible for building Guy Carpenters’ faculty business in Europe and promoting new growth possibilities across the continent in his new role.

In his new position, Riccardo Roveta will be in charge of the London components of facultative reinsurance for European clients. With over 22 years of market experience, he joined Guy Carpenters’ faculty team in 2015, specializing in liability, specialty, and financial insurance.

Enver and Riccardo bring substantial expertise and market knowledge to their new responsibilities, which will be helpful in carrying out our ambitious European goals.
