EY expands its UK insurance
Elizabeth Armstrong and Aran Mustafa have been appointed by EY to grow their UK insurance business.
Based in Manchester, Elizabeth will be responsible for overseeing the global tax compliance and reporting activities of her UK insurance clients. She brings twenty years of tax industry experience to her new role, which has given her extensive industry knowledge and expertise in complex tax structuring amid political and regulatory changes
She joins the firm from Royal London, where she was Head of Tax for seven years. Armstrong previously held various tax specialist and managerial positions at Royal London after joining Deloitte where she first trained as a chartered accountant before moving to a tax position.
She commented, “I am very excited to join EY as the company grows its insurance franchise. The team is well respected in the market and I look forward to working with ambitious and talented new colleagues.”

Mustafa will be Based in London and will play a key role in leading EY’s specialist insurance tax practice, working across industries at established organizations and start-ups. He joins EY from KPMG, where he provided international tax advice to the insurance market for 12 years.
