Ageas Re, the reinsurance division of Ageas Group, has announced it is expanding its workforce and welcoming a number of new hires from around the globe.
Senior Underwriting Manager, located in Zurich, Wolfgang Amiras joined the organization from Axis Re. With a primary concentration on real estate and engineering, Amiras will cover Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Nordics, and countries in Central and Eastern Europe. He will collaborate with Anne Deister, the head underwriter for the area.
Cristina Di Lena, a Brussels-based Senior Underwriter, is moving from SiriusPoint to Ageas Re. She will cover the Mediterranean region, concentrating mostly on real estate, including Italy.
Gilles Marchal, a newly appointed Property Senior Underwriter for Latin America and Iberia, as well as Vincent Rensonnet, a Lead Underwriter, are both joining from SiriusPoint.
Colaris Sebastien from SiriusPoint has joined the team of Jeremy Walker, Chief Underwriter Officer, as Property Underwriter, covering the English-speaking nations and worldwide retro.
As lead pricing actuary at the business’s Brussels branch, Antoine Baijot has also joined Ageas Re. In addition to managing the PML, he will be in charge of technical underwriting, property tooling, accumulation control, and PML.
Joachim Racz, Group Director of Ageas Re, continued, “We have some additional colleagues that I warmly welcome to the team: Jacqueline Vray will reinforce our operations team, Rosa Fraterrigo joins the team as Underwriting Assistant, and Stephanie Bleys will be working in Antoine’s team and focus on risk and CAT modelling.
