Sherif Zakhary has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group under Reinsurance Solutions, effective immediately. He will report to Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, in his new job.
Sherif will be based in New York and will manage over 500 colleagues globally to accelerate the expansion of Aon’s insurance consulting capabilities. In addition, he will assist customers in making better business decisions that navigate volatility, optimize capital, and drive performance and growth.
Sherif was previously co-head of Aon’s strategy consulting team for insurers before taking on this post. He has formerly held prominent roles at Guy Carpenter, Zurich, and MetLife.
The Strategy & Technology Group of Aon was established in early 2022. By integrating consulting and technologies to give data-driven, actionable insights, the firm takes a comprehensive view of insurers’ companies.
In addition, the team informs and advises re/insurers and capital providers on a variety of options, ranging from profitable growth and operational efficiency to improving customer relevance and improved capital deployment.
Using Aon’s expertise from Reinsurance, Commercial Risk, Health, Wealth, and Human Capital Solutions, the team is able to provide clients with capabilities ranging from consultation through transaction execution.
