Nathaniel Wallman has been named Chief Executive Officer of Toa Re of America (TRA), succeeding Richard Sanford.
Wallman joined TRA in 2002 and has worked in the reinsurance industry for almost four decades.
According to the company, its market strategy and positioning will stay unchanged, with efforts centered on reinsurance solutions, cross-functional learning, and effective teamwork.
TRA underwrites all lines of assumed reinsurance for ceding companies and other insurance entities primarily in North America.
The company’s headquarters are in Morristown, New Jersey, with branch offices in Toronto and Irvine, California. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Toa Reinsurance Company, Limited (TRJ), which is headquartered in Tokyo.
TRJ has a subsidiary in Zurich, as well as branches in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong.
