Ahmad Noor Azhari Abdul Manaf has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysian Re effective of April 1, 2023. His predecessor, Zainudin Ishak, stepped down same day at the end of his term.
Ahmad joined the Malaysian group in 2016 after serving in a number of top managerial roles for seven years, most recently he was head of underwriting, and in charge of the markets in Asia, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and North America.
Ahmad worked as a senior director in Kuwait Re’s Far East regional office prior to joining Malaysian Re.
Ahmad Noor Azhari has a track record of successfully advancing the group’s reinsurance business, particularly in expanding its international business.
