He presently holds the position of Regional Maritime Manager for Continental Europe, a position he has held since 2013. Chasseguet succeeds Veronique Brionne, who has chosen to leave the organization.
Chasseguet will be in charge of Chubb’s operations in France for Property and Casualty, Accident and Health, and Consumer Lines in his new position as Country President for France.
Chasseguet will be based in Paris and will report to Sara Mitchell, who is the division president of Chubb’s continental Europe, middle east, and north Africa division.
Prior to working for Chubb, Chasseguet was a Non-Life Senior Regional Manager at Achmea for six years.
He worked for EurAPco for more than ten years as a Senior Marine prior to that, he had worked for Cigna for eight years as a Marine Underwrite.
Sara Mitchell, Division President for Chubb in Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa said:
“I am delighted to welcome Benoit to this important role. France is Chubb’s biggest market in Continental Europe and also our European Union headquarters. Benoit brings more than 30 years of industry experience as well as a deep knowledge of Chubb. He is highly respected both within Chubb and also the wider industry for his expertise and I am looking forward to working with Benoit and to see the French business continue to grow.
“I would also like to thank Veronique for all her dedication and hard work both as Country President for France and in the other senior roles she has held in her nine years at Chubb.”
As Sean Ringstead transitions to a new position as Chief Digital Business Officer, Chasseguet’s appointment follows the recent promotion of Frances O’Brien, whom Chubb named Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.
